APC Shuts National Secretariat As Kidnappers Kill Senior Official

The national attention drawn by the spate of insecurity in the country has led the ruling All Progressives Congress APC to shut down its national secat till next Monday following the death in kidnappers’ den of its Director of Administration, Hon. AbdulRauf Adekunle Adeniji.
The national leadership it was gathered, decided to shut down the secretariat till Monday in memory of the deceased.
According to the report, AbdulRauf Adeniji was killed last March in the kidnappers’ den. Remarkably, the kidnappers were said to have concealed the news of his killing even while still negotiating for the payment of a N50m ransom.
The APC in a memo circulated round the secretariat and titled ‘Secretariat closure for the mourning of the director of administration’, advised all the staff to use the period of mourning for sober reflection and prayers for the family and the loved ones.
It reads; “The National Secretary has approved the closure of the National secretariat from all party/work activities with immediate effect till Monday 14th April 2025.
”This decision was made after we received the news of the sad demise of the Director of Administration Late Hon. AbdulRauf Adekunle Adeniji.”
