Panic As 3 Headless Bodies Float In Ondo River
By Benjamin Abioye

Panic spread in Ondo as three headless bodies were discovered floating in a river, with fears of ritual killings rising among locals.
The police in Ondo State have confirmed that the three headless bodies found in a river at Odigbo Local Government Area did not come from the state.
The shocking discovery of the corpses, found floating between Ore and Odigbo communities, caused fear and panic among residents.
The bodies were found on Sunday, and the police were immediately informed. Many people suspect that the victims were killed for ritual purposes and later dumped in the river.
Police spokesperson, Olayinka Alayande, confirmed the incident. He said the matter was reported at the Ore police station, and the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) quickly sent officers to the scene.
Alayande explained, “I can confirm that three bodies were recovered from a river in Odigbo. The matter was reported to the Ore Division, and the DPO sent a detective to the scene. The DPO also summoned community leaders and other groups to help identify the bodies and directed anyone with information to visit the hospital. Since then, no one has been able to identify the bodies.”
He further added that the bodies were likely brought from another location. “It is believed the bodies were brought from elsewhere and dumped in the river. We don’t think they are from this state. However, the river may have carried them to this location,” he explained.
A youth leader in the area, Shileola, also expressed shock over the incident. He said, “I was shocked when I heard about it. I rushed to the scene to try to identify the victims, but I couldn’t find any clues.”
He also suggested that the victims were probably killed in another place, since there have been no recent reports of missing persons in the area.
