Panic As Terrorists Abduct Man In Highlander (Video)

Tension has gripped residents of Egede community in Enugu State following the reported abduction of a yet-to-be-identified driver by suspected terrorists along the dreaded Eke-Egede road.

The incident, which occurred on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, near the Smart School in Egede, was first reported by X user @ChuksEricE, who shared a video of the victim’s abandoned silver Highlander Jeep parked by the roadside. The short clip revealed no sign of the driver or his abductors, further heightening fears among locals.

The Eke-Egede route has, in recent times, gained notoriety for recurrent attacks, kidnappings, and other violent crimes.

Online, netizens have condemned what they describe as the unchecked operations of terrorists in the South East, calling on Enugu State Governor, Peter Mbah, to act swiftly.

This abduction is the latest in a disturbing pattern of violence threatening the safety and stability of Enugu State. As fear and frustration mount, citizens are demanding that authorities step up and end the reign of terror before more lives are lost.
