In a bold move to give viewers more control over how they consume and pay for TV content, Multichoice Uganda has launched a new campaign dubbed “Ka Weekie”, allowing DStv and GOtv subscribers to pay for their subscriptions on a weekly basis, starting from as low as Shs5,000.
Unveiled this week, the Ka Weekie plan is designed to cater to customers with dynamic lifestyles—such as students, travelers, and budget-conscious households—who may not always need or afford a full monthly subscription.
“This innovation is about giving our customers control—letting them choose how and when they pay without losing the content they value,” said Collin Asiimwe, Head of Marketing at Multichoice Uganda.
#KaWeekie is our brand new 7-day subscription option. You don’t need to pay for a whole month anymore nga you are not going to watch. #PayWeeklyWithGOtv and enjoy your entertainment on your own terms🔥
“It’s about variety, inclusion, and making our services work better for different lifestyles.”
With Ka Weekie, existing subscribers can now opt for a flexible weekly payment option while still enjoying their current channel packages. New customers, however, are required to activate a standard monthly subscription before accessing the weekly billing option.
Multichoice has assured customers that the quality and variety of programming remain unchanged. The weekly subscription offers full access to all channels available on the selected bouquet, ensuring subscribers continue to enjoy their favorite shows, sports, and movies without compromise.
The launch of Ka Weekie reflects Multichoice Uganda’s strategic response to a rapidly shifting entertainment landscape, where traditional pay-TV providers are under pressure to match the flexibility and affordability of digital streaming platforms.
