Killaboi Extradited To Nigeria Over Alleged Murder
By Benjamin Abioye

Benjamin ‘Killaboi’ Nnayereugo, wanted for the murder of Miss Augusta Onuwabhagbe, has been extradited from Qatar to Nigeria to finally face justice.
The Nigeria Police Force has brought back Benjamin Best Nnayereugo, widely known as “Killaboi,” to the country from Doha, Qatar.
He is to face murder charges in connection with the killing of 21-year-old Miss Augusta Oseodion Onuwabhagbe.
The suspect had been on the run since the incident, which took place on July 13, 2023, at his home in Ajah, Lagos. The victim was a first-class student of Lead City University, Ibadan. After allegedly committing the crime, he fled Nigeria and later posted a video online, claiming responsibility — a move authorities believe was meant to distract investigators.
His extradition was the result of a formal complaint filed by the deceased’s family through their lawyers. The matter was taken up by INTERPOL’s National Central Bureau (NCB) in Abuja, which led the investigation and international chase.
Police findings showed that Killaboi had first been arrested in Freetown, Sierra Leone, in October 2023. He was using a fake name, “Kanu Princeton Samuel,” at the time. However, he escaped during a prison break in November that year. He continued to move between regions — including West Africa, East Asia, and the Middle East — using different fake identities.
He eventually settled in Doha on January 24, 2025, with a forged Guinean passport under the name “Toure Abdoulaye,” where he got an illegal job and hid his real identity.
INTERPOL NCB Abuja and their counterparts in Doha used advanced biometric tools to confirm who he was. This led to his arrest in February 2025. After that, the Nigerian government formally requested his extradition through the Ministry of Justice, which was approved by Qatar.
The Inspector-General of Police praised the teamwork among the international agencies involved. He thanked the Attorney-General of the Federation, the Qatari government, INTERPOL officials in both countries, and the Nigerian Embassy in Qatar for their help in returning the suspect to Nigeria.
