Arsenal Vs Crystal Palace: Key Preview And Predictions
By Benjamin Abioye

Arsenal will host Crystal Palace at the Emirates on Wednesday night as they look to delay Liverpool’s Premier League title celebration.
Arsenal will host Crystal Palace at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday night in another round of Premier League action. While this match is important, both teams have even bigger games coming up. Arsenal will face PSG in the Champions League semi-final next week, while Palace are set to meet Aston Villa in their FA Cup semi-final on Saturday.
Crystal Palace recently ended a poor run of results with a goalless draw against Bournemouth. However, they still seem headed for another mid-table league finish. Arsenal, currently in second place, are trying to keep their slim title hopes alive. A loss on Wednesday would officially make Liverpool champions.
The Gunners come into this fixture with confidence after a 4-0 win over Ipswich, who had a player sent off early in the game. Despite this strong performance, manager Mikel Arteta is expected to rotate his squad ahead of the PSG clash. Bukayo Saka took a knock during the Ipswich game, but Arteta confirmed he’s fine.
Riccardo Calafiori is aiming to return for the Champions League game, while Kai Havertz may also be back before the season ends. Gabriel Magalhaes, Gabriel Jesus, and Takehiro Tomiyasu remain out.
Arteta is likely to rest some of his key players, with a predicted lineup that could include Raya, White, Timber, Kiwior, Tierney, Partey, Rice, Odegaard, Nwaneri, Merino, and Trossard.
Crystal Palace will be without Chris Richards, who is suspended after receiving two yellow cards in their last match. Manager Oliver Glasner may use Jefferson Lerma in defense, with Wharton and Hughes playing in midfield. Eberechi Eze was subbed off at halftime in the last game for tactical reasons and is expected to start against Arsenal.
Palace’s expected lineup includes Henderson, Lerma, Lacroix, Guehi, Munoz, Hughes, Wharton, Mitchell, Sarr, Eze, and Mateta.
This will be the third time Arsenal and Palace face off this season, with Arsenal winning the previous two games. Although they struggled in the Carabao Cup tie, they still came out on top. Another close game is expected on Wednesday.
If Arsenal win, they’ll keep Liverpool waiting for the title. But if they lose, Liverpool will be crowned champions even before facing Tottenham on Sunday.
Predicted score: Arsenal 2-1 Crystal Palace.
