Beauty Goddess Apologizes To Priscilla Ojo Over Wedding Comment
By Gideon Ayeni

Popular media personality, Beauty Goddess, has publicly apologized to Priscilla Ojo Mkambala following the backlash over a controversial comment she made about her wedding.
Recall that Beauty Goddess was noticeably absent at the star-studded event and later posted a video explaining her absence. In the now-viral video, she mentioned that she couldn’t cancel her flight “because of JP Whatever,” a statement that many interpreted as dismissive and disrespectful to the bride.
The remark sparked heavy criticism online, with netizens accusing her of being insensitive and shading Priscilla on her big day.
GWG.ng reports that Priscilla had unfollowed Beauty Goddess on Instagram after making the controversial statement— the statement that sent the social media abuzz.
However, in a heartfelt apology shared on her Instagram page, Beauty Goddess admitted that her choice of words was poor and that she understood why people were upset. She emphasized that she meant no harm and expressed deep regret on how her message was received.
“I’ve seen some of the reactions to the live I did, and honestly, I understand why people are upset,” she said. “It came off like I was being dismissive about Priscilla’s wedding, and I hate that it even looked like that.”
Directly addressing the new bride, she continued: “Priscilla, if you see this, I’m really, really sorry. I love and respect you so much, and God knows how excited I’ve been for your big day. I would never intentionally try to make it about me or take away from your moment.”
Beauty Goddess acknowledged that the way she communicated her message was “messy” and said she wasn’t thinking about how it would sound to others.
“The last thing I’d ever want is to make your day feel less than perfect, especially over something like this. I have no bad intentions at all, and I’m deeply sorry to Mr. and Mrs. Mkambala.”

Her apology has drawn mixed reactions online, with some praising her for taking responsibility and others urging influencers to be more mindful of their words.
