Kate Henshaw Electricity Tariff

Kate Henshaw has slammed Nigeria’s electricity tariff system, describing it as a fraud. She criticized the poor power supply in her Band A category, where she gets just two hours daily.

Actress Kate Henshaw has strongly criticized the current electricity tariff system in Nigeria, calling it unfair and misleading. She voiced her frustration on 𝕏, saying the electricity band system is nothing short of a scam.

According to her, she is listed under Band A, which is supposed to provide over 20 hours of electricity daily. However, she said that in reality, she barely gets two hours of power a day.

“This banding of electricity is a huge FRAUD! I said it before, and I repeat it again,” she wrote.

She questioned why people are being charged high rates when they receive little to no power. “‘Band A’ is supposed to get 20 hours of electricity at an exorbitant tariff, but if you get 2 hours, to God be the glory. A huge FRAUD… KMT,” she added. “See?!!! That estimated billing na daylight robbery with bazooka guns!!! I said what I said!!!”

Kate also compared the billing system to a failed Ponzi scheme. “When they know they can’t generate enough energy to supply the people, you raise tariff and still drop the supply! Is that not CBex-ing of the people??” she asked.

Her post quickly gained attention as many Nigerians related to her complaint, sharing their own experiences with poor electricity and high bills.
