Drama As Stranded Boat Gets Fuel After An Hour — But Engine Refuses To Start (Video)

The ordeal of passengers stranded mid-water on a boat ride from Ikorodu to Lekki in Lagos after the boat ran out of fuel, took a dramatic twist as their boat reportedly failed to restart even after fuel was eventually provided.

Recall that a video went viral earlier showing panicked passengers en route Lekki, fuming after their boat ran out of fuel in the middle of the journey. The incident, which occurred on Lagos waters, sparked outrage as the visibly shaken passengers blamed the boat driver for being unprepared and careless.

GWG.ng had reported how the viral video made the rounds on Nigerian news and social media stirring outrage on the fate of the boat passengers after the boat ran out of fuel midway through the journey.

In the footage, visibly distressed passengers can be seen confronting the boat driver, accusing him of gross negligence and endangering lives. According to those aboard, the incident occurred right in the middle of the waterway, sparking fear and confusion.

One of the passengers claimed the boat driver showed little concern for the situation, appearing unbothered and offering no immediate solution as the boat drifted helplessly.

In a fresh update shared on social media, the passengers revealed that after waiting for over an hour, fuel was finally brought to the boat. However, the situation took another frustrating turn when the boat engine refused to start.

A second video posted by the passengers showed them expressing renewed anger and disappointment, questioning the safety standards and professionalism of the boat operator.
