A woman who made headlines for reporting how her boat ran out of fuel has shared another shocking update, claiming she was denied entry to the ferry on her way to work today.

According to the lady, the ferry operators cited her social media post about the previous incident of boat fuel shortage as the reason for barring her from boarding.

In a video posted on social media, the woman expressed her frustration, saying that despite her intention to simply highlight the challenges passengers face, her post had led to her being labeled a troublemaker just because she exposed the fuel shortage incident. She lamented, “We’re the ones doing ourselves in this country,” referring to how the situation had escalated.

The incident in question occurred earlier in the week when the lady, along with other passengers, found themselves stranded on a boat after the fuel ran out midway during their journey.

Despite a one-hour delay, the boat’s engine failed to start even after the fuel was replenished, leaving passengers in distress. The video of the incident went viral, as netizens call for better safety measures and maintenance standards for water transport services in Nigeria.

However, in a new development, the lady reported that when she tried to board the ferry on Thursday, she was informed that she could not enter due to her viral social media post. The ferry operators allegedly accused her of making the incident trend online, resulting in negative publicity for the company.

In her video, the woman voiced her frustration over the treatment she received, saying that instead of addressing the underlying issues that led to the incident, the ferry service chose to target her for speaking out.
