Osimhen Breaks Galatasaray Record

Manchester United is reportedly on the brink of activating Victor Osimhen’s €75 million release clause, as the club has reached an agreement in principle with the Super Eagles striker for a potential summer transfer.

According to Tuttosport, the Red Devils have already negotiated basic salary terms with Osimhen’s representatives and are now set to meet the release clause outlined in his contract with Napoli. Manchester United’s manager, Ruben Amorim, is eager to bolster his attacking options, and Osimhen is seen as the perfect fit.

The 26-year-old forward has been in sensational form during his loan spell at Galatasaray, scoring 30 goals and providing seven assists in just 35 appearances across all competitions. His outstanding performances have attracted significant interest, with Premier League clubs, particularly Manchester United and Chelsea, eyeing him last summer.

Although Galatasaray is eager to secure him permanently due to his contributions, Manchester United appears to have the upper hand in the race to sign the prolific striker.

Currently struggling in the league, sitting 14th in the Premier League, Manchester United believe Osimhen could play a crucial role in revitalizing their squad for the upcoming season.

Osimhen has established himself as one of Europe’s most lethal forwards, with 76 goals and 17 assists in 133 appearances for Napoli before his move to Turkey. Additionally, he has impressed on the international stage with Nigeria, netting 26 goals and providing 11 assists in 41 appearances for the national team.

His most recent achievement was celebrating his 170th career goal in a commanding 5-1 win over Konyaspor in the Turkish Cup.
