Real Madrid Star Vinicius Jr. Faces Possible Two-Year Ban
By Benjamin Abioye

FIFA is currently investigating Brazilian winger Vinicius Jr. for reportedly owning stakes in football clubs, a move that could lead to a possible two-year ban if proven.
Brazilian winger Vinicius Jr., currently playing for Real Madrid, is under investigation by FIFA for a possible conflict of interest that could lead to a two-year ban.
This comes at a difficult time for both Vinicius and his club, as Real Madrid has been struggling this season, being knocked out of the UEFA Champions League and sitting second in La Liga.
Individually, Vinicius has enjoyed a successful career, having scored 105 goals and provided 79 assists in 311 matches across all competitions. However, his on-field behavior has occasionally raised concerns, leading FIFA to examine his situation more closely.
The investigation follows a complaint filed by Brazilian company Tiberis Holding Do Brasil with FIFA’s Ethics Committee on April 7. The complaint points to potential violations of FIFA’s rules, particularly regarding players owning stakes in professional clubs.
Reports indicate that Vinicius holds ownership in two football clubs: Brazilian team Athletic Club de São João del Rei and Portuguese side Alverca. If found guilty, he could face serious consequences, including being forced to sell his shares in these clubs or even facing a suspension of up to two years.
