VeryDarkMan Buys More Market As Terry Apala Gives Ultimatum On Video
By Benjamin Abioye

Terry Apala has issued a 48-hour ultimatum to VDM to delete a video that falsely claimed he was arrested by the EFCC, warning of legal action if the video is not taken down.
Nigerian singer Terry Apala has given activist Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VDM, a 48-hour ultimatum to take down a controversial video he posted months ago.
In the video, VDM claimed that Terry Apala, DJ Tunez, and DJ Osas were invited by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), and that they allegedly had money taken from them. The video has since stirred debate among fans, with many taking sides in the heated online discussion.
Some fans defended VDM, suggesting that he was simply trying to help Terry by bringing attention to the situation. One commenter wrote, “I understand bro, people don’t know the extent the EFCC can go to push their narrative, but I am with you, brother @terryapalaofficial.” Others, however, took issue with Terry’s response. One fan joked, “To protect the integrity of the EFCC? 😂 that part got me… Why e be like say na EFCC write this thing for you?”
Terry, in a letter sent through his lawyer, strongly denied the claims in the video and called it “false” and damaging to the EFCC’s reputation. He accused VDM of using the incident for personal gain and clout. Terry further emphasized that the bribery accusation was untrue, stating that he had never bribed anyone. He also clarified his whereabouts, explaining that he had been outside the country for a few months, observing Ramadan and later performing in South Africa.
Despite the singer’s warning, some fans doubted that VDM would comply. “That video is not coming down for obvious reasons,” one fan pointed out, while another sarcastically wrote, “You want to chase clout, bro @terryapalaofficial. Make we no report your account.” Many online reactions mocked Terry for his legal threats, with one person suggesting that he was only following the EFCC’s narrative: “Make Una dy calm down abeg… Is like you nor hear ‘allegedly’ for that video,” referring to VDM’s use of the word throughout the video.
Other commenters criticized Terry’s legal approach, with one fan commenting, “Who type am for you and you wan fight VDM? 😂😂😂 shame no catch you self.” Another fan offered support for VDM, stating, “Terry Apala is also a good man and should not be called out by VDM… but him Dey overdo.” Some fans even warned Terry that his actions could backfire, saying, “EGBON you go later regret this your actions 😂.”
As tensions rise, it remains unclear whether VDM will comply with Terry’s demand or continue to stand his ground. One fan even predicted, “Even SAN lose court case against VDM. Me and you know say he no go take anything down.”
Despite the drama, some fans simply expressed concern for Terry, advising him to step back and rest. “Just off notification for tonight. Get some sleep. Tomorrow will be another day,” one fan wrote, suggesting that the singer take a more peaceful approach to the situation.
