Do2dtun Whitemoney Tribal Headies

Media personality Do2dtun slammed Whitemoney for bringing tribal sentiments into his acceptance speech while receiving Flavour’s award at the 17th Headies.

Nigerian media personality Oladotun Ojuolape Kayode, known as Do2dtun, has criticized reality TV star Whitemoney for a comment he made during the 17th Headies Awards ceremony.

While accepting the Afrobeats Single of the Year award on behalf of singer Flavour at the event held at the Eko Convention Centre in Lagos, Whitemoney said he was standing on stage “on behalf of the Igbos.”

This statement upset many viewers, who felt he was being tribalistic by suggesting that Flavour’s success belonged only to the Igbo community, instead of everyone.

Reacting on his 𝕏 account, Do2dtun openly condemned Whitemoney’s comment. He said, “‘On behalf of the Igbos.’ I am sorry, that was so unnecessary. It didn’t need that type of narrative. It’s an award won by an African; for Afrobeat and a Nigerian. #headies2025”

In another update, Do2dtun also spoke about the ongoing clash between singer Portable and Fuji music veteran Saheed Osupa.

Portable had attacked Saheed Osupa after the Fuji artist removed his song from streaming platforms, claiming copyright infringement. Portable had used lyrics from one of Osupa’s songs, which led to the song being taken down from Spotify and Apple Music following complaints by Osupa and his distributors.
