Champions League: Barcelona Squad Against Inter Milan Named
By Benjamin Abioye

Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has named his squad for the crucial Champions League semi-final second leg against Inter Milan tonight, including Lewandowski and rising star Yamal.
Barcelona manager, Hansi Flick, has named his squad for the second leg of the UEFA Champions League semi-final against Inter Milan, scheduled for 8 p.m. tonight, May 6.
Notable players in the squad include top scorer Robert Lewandowski and rising star Lamine Yamal, both of whom are expected to play a key role in the team’s push for success in the Champions League this season.
Lewandowski missed the first leg, where Yamal’s outstanding performance helped secure a dramatic 3-3 draw at Camp Nou last week. Both teams are coming into this match on the back of domestic victories, with Barcelona defeating Real Valladolid and Inter Milan beating Verona.
Flick has selected a 23-man squad, hoping to outsmart Inter Milan at the San Siro. The squad includes goalkeeper Iñaki Peña; defenders Ronald Araujo, Iñigo Martinez, and Andreas Christensen; midfielders Gavi, Ferran Torres, Pedri, Frenkie de Jong, Fermín, and Olmo; and forwards Robert Lewandowski, Ansu Fati, Raphinha, Lamine Yamal, along with promising talents like Pau Víctor, H. Fort, Gerard Martín, Landry, and Darvich.
In light of this crucial match, former Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos shared his thoughts on the key players in Barcelona’s squad. Kroos, who retired from professional football last summer, believes that Pedri is more vital to Barcelona’s success than other star players like Yamal, Lewandowski, and Raphinha.
Kroos acknowledged that players like Yamal, Lewandowski, and Raphinha have been in excellent form this season, contributing a combined total of 86 goals across all competitions. However, he pointed out that Pedri’s vision and ability to control the game make him indispensable. “For me, a player like Pedri is more important than Lamine Yamal, Raphinha, or Lewandowski,” Kroos said on his podcast, Einfach mal Luppen. “While those players can indeed decide the outcomes of matches, Pedri’s understanding of the game and his ability to control the tempo make him the best player in the world in his position right now.”
Pedri has made 54 appearances this season, scoring six goals and providing seven assists.
