Panic At APC Meeting As Party Chief Collapses While Talking (Video)

Kolade Alabi, Bariga LG Chairman and ALGON leader, collapsed while addressing APC members in Ikeja, Lagos. The incident caused panic, but he was revived and taken to the hospital for care.
Kolade Alabi, the Chairman of Bariga Local Government Area (LGA) in Lagos, collapsed while addressing a gathering of All Progressives Congress (APC) members at the party’s secretariat in Acme, Ikeja, Lagos, on May 7, 2025.
The incident occurred at approximately 12:10 p.m., while Alabi was delivering a speech to party members.
The sudden collapse triggered panic among those present at the meeting, including several APC supporters and local officials. The alarmed crowd immediately sprang into action, with some rushing to assist him. Fortunately, Alabi was revived quickly by those around him and, with the help of others, was promptly transported to a nearby hospital to receive immediate medical attention.
Details about the exact cause of his collapse have not been disclosed, nor has any further information been provided regarding his current condition. However, despite the shock of the event, there was a collective sense of relief among those present, as news of his quick revival spread. APC members have since expressed their hopes for his speedy recovery, with many sending well-wishes for his health and well-being.
Alabi, who also serves as the Chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), has been a key political figure in Lagos State, and his sudden health scare has sparked widespread concern. However, for now, his supporters remain optimistic that he will recover swiftly.
