Former Delta State Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan has defected from the PDP to the APC, promising to work with party leaders for the continued progress of Delta State and support the party’s agenda.

Former Delta State Governor, Emmanuel Uduaghan, has left the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and officially joined the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Uduaghan made the switch on Wednesday at his residence in GRA, Warri. He was welcomed into the APC by key figures, including the Delta South Women Leader, Alero Tenumah, Chairman of Abigborodo Ward 6, George Ino, and several other leaders from both the ward and local government levels.

His new APC membership card bears the number ‘Delta WRN//023/32001’. During the brief ceremony, the former governor thanked party members for their warm reception and recognition. He said he was grateful for their “solidarity and honour,” and promised to work closely with them for the continued progress of Delta State. “I assure you of synergy and continuous working relationship towards further development of Delta State,” he added.

Also joining the party was his daughter, Orode Uduaghan, who serves as the state’s Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs, Community Support Services, and Child Development. She received her APC membership card from the party’s ward leaders.

In her remarks, Alero Tenumah encouraged all new members to support the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the development plans of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori. She said, “We assure Uduaghan and the new members of the party’s support and collaboration.”
