JAMB Announces Date For Release Of 2025 UTME Results

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has disclosed the date for the release of the 2025 UTME results, allowing candidates to begin checking their scores soon.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that the results of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) will be released on Friday, May 9, 2025.

This announcement was made on Thursday, May 8. According to the board, candidates who took part in the exam can start checking their results beginning Friday morning.

The board stated, “The release of 2025 UTME is scheduled to hold tomorrow Friday 9th May, 2025; Venue: JAMB National Headquarters Bwari Abuja; Time: 8am.”

Ahead of this release, JAMB shared detailed statistics of the just-concluded examination. Out of the 1,955,069 candidates who sat for the test, over 1.5 million scored below 200, which is generally regarded as the average benchmark. Only 420,415 candidates scored above 200. According to the data, about 75% of all candidates scored less than 200, and less than 1% managed to score above 300.

In addition, JAMB revealed that 97 candidates were caught cheating during the exams, and 2,157 others are still being investigated for suspected malpractice.

Commenting on the exam performance, the Minister of Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa, remarked that the results show the success of government efforts to reduce cheating in national exams.

Students will be able to check their scores either by using the JAMB e-Facility website or through SMS.
