A viral video from an NYSC orientation camp has stirred reactions online after a female corps member was seen being punished by a soldier for what appeared to be a harmless gesture—waving at him.

The video, which has been widely circulated on social media, shows the corps member dressed in the standard white-on-white NYSC attire, standing and repeatedly waving at the soldier. The soldier, who sat confidently nearby, appeared unbothered as he watched her continue the action under his instructions.

According to reports accompanying the video, the lady had initially waved casually at the soldier, which led to the unexpected punishment. Rather than scolding her verbally or ignoring the gesture, the soldier allegedly instructed her to keep waving as a form of discipline.
