Yung6ix has shared that he has smoked for 21 years and is asking Nigerians for help to quit smoking. He spends $600 (about N1m) monthly but wants to quit fully.

Nigerian rapper Onome Onokohwomo, known as Yung6ix, has asked Nigerians for help to quit smoking weed.

He shared on his social media that he has been smoking for 21 years and his body is now telling him to stop.

Yung6ix said quitting has been difficult for him. He also revealed that he still spends about \$600 each month on weed and wants to reduce that to zero. He wrote, “Coming out today to tell everyone I need help. I’ve been smoking for 21 years now and my body is telling me to stop. I’m trying but it’s not easy, I’ve reduced how much I spend buying weed to \$600 a month and I need help to turn that to \$0. Any help?”

After his post, fellow artist Phenom said he stopped smoking 10 years ago with the help of a doctor. He offered to connect Yung6ix with the same doctor. Phenom wrote, “10 years since I quit smoking. [I] can link you up with the doctor that helped me.”

Yung6ix replied, “Wow no way bro, so you no dey now kana all this while when we dey yarn?”
