A woman in western Brazil has been arrested after allegedly killing her husband, cutting off his penis, and cooking it in a bean stew.

The shocking incident happened in the town of Acrelandia.

Reports say the woman committed the act as a form of revenge after catching her husband watching pornography. She is accused of adding parts of his penis into a meal and eating it.

Local authorities believe jealousy and rage led the woman to commit the gruesome crime. Police discovered the man’s body without his penis near their home after family members reported him missing. During questioning, the wife reportedly admitted to what she had done.

It is not clear whether the woman ate the stew alone or if others unknowingly consumed the cooked penis as part of the meal.

This disturbing case comes just months after another horrifying event in Brazil, where a 60-year-old man named Celso Marques Ferreira was found dead in a town square without his penis and part of his heart. A bloody note was found next to his body, pointing to a woman called “gringa”—the nickname of the suspect, Josefa Lima de Sousa.

Police found a bloodied knife at the scene. Josefa, aged 65, confessed after being arrested along with her partner. She claimed she killed the man after finding out he was a child abuser. She reportedly told officers, “I ate his penis and heart after cooking them.”

In a separate case from the Philippines last year, another wife attacked her husband after he allegedly said another woman’s name during sex. The 55-year-old wife waited until her husband was asleep, then used a 10-inch kitchen knife to cut off his penis.

Photos shared by police showed the severed penis parts lying on the bed. Neighbors rushed in after hearing the man’s screams and took him to the hospital. Authorities arrested the wife at the scene. A police spokesperson explained, “Allegedly, the reason was jealousy, because the wife claimed her husband was a womaniser.”

The knife and the severed penis were recovered. Doctors tried to reattach the man’s penis but were unsuccessful. The wife was taken into custody on charges of mutilation.
