23 Clubs Champions League

Twenty-three clubs have confirmed qualification for the 2025-26 UEFA Champions League, continuing the expanded 36-team format that promises more exciting football.

At least 23 clubs have already qualified for the 2025-2026 UEFA Champions League as the competition enters its second season under a new, expanded format.

This year, 36 teams will compete, continuing the shift from the traditional structure to a larger and more dynamic tournament.

Most of the qualifying teams secured their spots based on their performance in their domestic leagues. Champions and top-ranked clubs from Europe’s strongest leagues have all confirmed their participation.

From England, Liverpool and Arsenal have booked their places in the tournament. Spain is set to be represented by four clubs, including Barcelona, Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, and Athletic Club. Italy’s top teams Inter Milan, Juventus, Napoli, and Atalanta have also qualified, while Germany’s presence will include Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Bayer Leverkusen, and Eintracht Frankfurt.

French football is represented by Paris Saint-Germain, Marseille, and Monaco. The Netherlands has Ajax and PSV moving forward, with Sporting CP from Portugal also making the cut. Other clubs confirmed include Union Saint-Gilloise from Belgium, Galatasaray from Turkey, and Slavia Praha from the Czech Republic.

The Champions League’s expansion to 36 teams is part of UEFA’s plan to modernize the competition. Instead of the usual group stage, the new format will use a single league table, where each team plays eight matches against different opponents. This change is designed to increase the number of exciting and competitive games.

The remaining spots in the competition will be decided as the current European football season finishes and qualification tournaments end. Fans are looking forward to the full list of teams and the official draw that will kick off another exciting season of top-level football.
