By Benjamin Abioye

Victor Osimhen’s 25th goal helped Galatasaray defeat Kayserispor 3-0, securing the Turkish Super Lig title and cementing his place as the league’s top scorer this season.
Victor Osimhen shone brightly on Sunday night, scoring in the 26th minute to help his team claim a 3-0 victory over Kayserispor.
With that goal, he reached an incredible 25 goals in just 29 league games this season.
His latest strike not only brought joy to the fans but also placed him in elite company. He became the third foreign player in his club’s history to score 25 goals in a single league season—joining legends who did the same in past campaigns.
Now leading the league’s scoring chart, Osimhen sits four goals clear of his nearest challenger, Krzysztof Piątek, who has 21. The Nigerian forward, currently playing on loan from Italy, has had an extraordinary season—scoring 36 goals and assisting eight more in 40 appearances across all competitions.
The weekend win also sealed the championship for Galatasaray, delighting home fans and securing their spot at the top of the league table. With only two games left, they stand strong with 89 points—eight ahead of the second-placed team.
As the season draws closer to its end, Osimhen’s achievements continue to shine, leaving no doubt that his time at Galatasaray will be remembered as one of excellence, records, and unforgettable moments.
Osimhen described the victory as a “historic moment” and expressed joy in contributing to the Galatasaray’s title success, now marked by a fifth star on their badge. On loan from Napoli, he has become a fan favorite but remains focused on enjoying the rest of the season without thinking about his future.
