Netanyahu has slammed France, UK, and Canada’s joint warning on Gaza, calling it a “huge prize” for Hamas and insisting Israel will continue its full defense.

The Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, has rejected warnings from France, Canada, and the United Kingdom against fully occupying Gaza.

The leaders of these countries—Keir Starmer from the UK, Emmanuel Macron from France, and Mark Carney from Canada—had issued a joint statement on Monday. They said they would oppose any complete military occupation of Gaza.

This warning came after Netanyahu announced on Sunday that the Israeli Defence Force (IDF) would begin full occupation of Gaza until Hamas releases all the hostages taken during the October 7 attack.

Responding to these threats, Netanyahu said the leaders were offering a “huge prize” to Hamas by making such demands.

He said the war would end only if Hamas laid down its weapons and freed all the hostages.

Netanyahu also insisted that France, Canada, and the UK cannot stop Israel from using every legal means to protect its land and people.

He stated: “By asking Israel to end a defensive war for our survival before Hamas terrorists on our border are destroyed and by demanding a Palestinian state, the leaders in London, Ottawa and Paris are offering a huge prize for the genocidal attack on Israel on October 7 while inviting more such atrocities.”

He added, “The war began on October 7 when Palestinian terrorists stormed our borders, murdered 1,200 innocent people and abducted over 250 more innocents to the dungeons of Gaza.”

Netanyahu expressed support for US President Trump’s approach and urged European leaders to follow suit. He said, “The war can end tomorrow if the remaining hostages are released, Hamas lays down its arms, its murderous leaders are exiled and Gaza is demilitarized. No nation can be expected to accept anything less and Israel certainly won’t.”

He concluded, “This is a war of civilization over barbarism. Israel will continue to defend itself by just means until total victory is achieved.”
