Dangote Reduces Petrol Prices, Sells Highest In Southeast, South-South
By Gideon Ayeni

Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a new reduction in the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), popularly known as petrol with the company ironically fixing its highest prices in the oil producing regions of the South-South and Southeast.
The updated Dangote petrol prices apply across all its retail partners’ outlets, with significant adjustments based on geographical zones with the Southeast and South-South consumers to pay the highest price of N905 per litre.
According to an official price table released by the refinery, effective prices per litre of petrol now stand as follows:
Lagos: ₦875
South West: ₦885
North East: ₦905
North West & Central: ₦895
South South & South East: ₦905
The updated pricing affects top partner outlets including MRS, Ardova Plc, Heyden, Optima Energy, Technoil, and Hyde, all of which are expected to comply with the revised rates at their respective fuel stations.
This latest reduction is part of Dangote Refinery’s efforts to ease the financial burden on Nigerians amidst persistent economic challenges and fluctuating fuel costs.
Dangote Refinery has urged customers to report any station that fails to adhere to the new prices but the company’s assertions of fairness is, however, bound to raise questions on account of the fact that the prices are highest in the oil producing regions of the South-South and Southeast.
Dangote Refinery emphasized that its fuel products are not only high in quality but also eco-friendly, contributing to better engine performance and a cleaner environment.
As Nigerians react to the development, many are hopeful this marks the beginning of sustained relief at the pump, particularly ahead of the travel-heavy midyear season.
