APC Traces Origin Of Fake Report On Automatic Ticket For Lawmakers

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has debunked news reports alleging that lawmakers would be granted automatic tickets in the 2027 election. The party has described the news as fake saying it didn’t come from it and was of mischievous origin.

Mr Felix Morka, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, said this in a statement on Tuesday in Abuja.

“The attention of the APC has been drawn to a purported breaking news report tagged “APC Grants Automatic Tickets to All National Assembly Members” in viral circulation.

“The report is fake news and should be disregarded in its entirety as it did not emanate from our great party.

“We urge all Party members and the general public to disregard the report as fake and of mischievous origin,” the APC spokesman said. (NAN)

GWG.ng reports that the claim of the fake report on automatic tickets for lawmakers by the APC leadership could not have come otherwise given the flow of lawmakers from other parties which has raised competition for party tickets among present and forthcoming party members.

By ruling out automatic tickets for lawmakers, the APC leadership hopes to keep the incentive for tickets and as such not dissuade potential new members
