Man Survives Fall From Cocoa House
By Benjamin Abioye

A man, whose identity has not yet been confirmed, fell from one of the upper floors of the Cocoa House building in Dugbe, Ibadan, Oyo State.
The incident happened early Monday morning and caused panic among people passing by and those working in the area.
The company that manages Cocoa House, Odu’a Investment Company Limited, confirmed the event. In a statement, the Head of Branding and Communication, Victor Ayetoro, explained that emergency responders quickly reached the scene and took the man to the University College Hospital (UCH) in Ibadan for immediate medical attention.
The management expressed concern about the situation and stated it is working closely with the authorities to help determine what led to the fall.
An eyewitness, Mr. Bolaji, a phone technician who works near the nearby Post Office, shared his experience: “When the incident happened, I initially thought it was a large bird falling from the sky. It was only when the person landed that I realised it was a human being. I had my phone with me but I couldn’t even record anything because I was completely shocked.
“The man first hit a roof beside the security post of the building before landing on the ground. It was a terrifying sight.”
People who were at the scene gave different opinions about what may have happened. Some believe the man might have been working in the building, while others think he may have jumped on purpose. However, the exact cause is still unknown as investigations are ongoing.
