Al-Hilal Offer Osimhen

Al-Hilal has made an official offer for Victor Osimhen, intensifying transfer interest after his stellar loan spell at Galatasaray.

Saudi Arabian football club Al-Hilal has officially offered a contract to Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, potentially setting off a major transfer battle for one of football’s top forwards.

Osimhen, who is 26 years old, had a fantastic season on loan at Galatasaray, the Turkish league champions. He scored 25 goals and assisted five times in just 29 league matches. His outstanding performance has caught the attention of big clubs around the world, including Premier League sides Chelsea and Manchester United, who have shown interest in him before.

The Nigerian star made history with Napoli during the 2022–23 season by scoring 31 goals in all competitions, helping them win their first Serie A title in 33 years. He is currently expected to return to the Italian club this summer, with his contract running until 2026.

However, his role at Napoli is now uncertain. The club’s new coach, Antonio Conte, signed Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku last summer, which pushed Osimhen out of the main squad. That decision made Osimhen look for a transfer during the last window, but no deal was finalized despite strong interest from Chelsea and several clubs in Saudi Arabia.

Chelsea remain very keen on signing Osimhen. Club legends John Obi Mikel and Didier Drogba have both been encouraging the forward to join the London club. Mikel said, “I hope that Chelsea fans will finally see him come to the club. I’ll make sure I send him those text messages and calls, making sure Chelsea is his top priority.”

Drogba, a former Chelsea striker who also inspired Osimhen, has been in contact with him as well. According to Mikel, “Didier is also speaking to him, sharing his own ideas and what the club means to us. It’s a huge transfer fee, but if we can match it and get him to the club, that would be absolutely fantastic.”

Now that Al-Hilal have made a formal offer, the competition for Osimhen’s next move is intensifying. While the Saudi club can offer a massive financial package, Chelsea’s emotional connection and their Champions League ambitions might still play a strong role in influencing Osimhen’s final decision.
