The circumstances surrounding the fall remain unclear as of the time of this report. While some online users have speculated that substance abuse may have played a role, others have suggested the possibility of foul play or emotional distress.
Authorities are yet to release an official statement regarding the incident, but students are calling for a thorough investigation to determine what led to the fatal fall.
GWG.ng reports that this heartbreaking development comes just days after another similar tragedy was reported involving a graduate of Afe Babalola University (ABUAD), who fell from the 26-storey Cocoa House building in Ibadan under equally mysterious circumstances.
As the UNIZIK community mourns, many are urging institutions to implement stronger mental health support systems and safety measures in student hostels to prevent such incidents from recurring.
