Asake Joins Olamide’s ‘99’ Amid Split Rumors
By Benjamin Abioye

Olamide and Asake reunited on the track ’99’, marking their first collaboration since rumours of a fallout surfaced online.
Nigerian rap star Olamide Adedeji has teamed up again with singer Ahmed Ololade, also known as Asake, to release a new song titled ‘99’.
The track is part of Olamide’s upcoming self-titled album, ‘Olamidé’, which is set to drop on June 18, 2025.
This marks the first time Olamide and Asake are working together again after rumors suggested there was tension between them. Despite those speculations, Asake is featured on ‘99’, showing that their music partnership is still going strong.
The song also includes contributions from hitmakers Young Jonn, Seyi Vibez, and British singer Daecolm. Produced by Willis, the track blends voices from across the Afrobeats world. ‘Olamidé’ will be Olamide’s 11th studio album and includes other tracks like ‘Hello Habibi’, ‘Metaverse’, and ‘Uptown Disco’, which also features Asake and Fireboy.
Asake was formerly signed under Olamide’s YBNL Nation label. In February 2025, he launched his own music label called ‘Giran Republic’ and released his first single ‘Why Love’ under that platform.
His appearance on ‘99’ has surprised many fans, especially those who believed he had parted ways with Olamide on a bad note. However, the collaboration suggests that any issues between them may have been resolved, at least professionally.
“The video for ‘99’ is expected to be released in the coming days,” a source close to the project confirmed.
Back in April 2025, Olamide also released a song titled Kai featuring Wizkid. That release marked their first joint project since their 2011 hit, .Omo To Shan’.
With 17 tracks on the album and major collaborations lined up, fans are eager to hear what ‘Olamidé’ has in store.
