Video: Oshiomhole In Airport Drama Over Missed Flight
By Benjamin Abioye
Drama unfolded at the Lagos airport when Senator Adams Oshiomhole arrived for his flight to Abuja and was told that he had missed his flight.
There was a scene on Wednesday morning at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos after Senator Adams Oshiomhole missed his scheduled flight to Abuja leading to a face off that temporarily led to the disruption of operations at the terminal.
According to SaharaReporters, the former Edo State governor arrived for his 6:30 a.m. Air Peace flight but was informed that he had arrived late and wasn’t allowed to board. Witnesses said he caused a scene at the entrance of the Zulu Terminal at the General Aviation Terminal.
One eyewitness said the senator’s actions caused delays and frustration for other passengers. “He missed the flight. That’s the simple truth. He wanted them to delay the flight for him, but Air Peace refused,” a source familiar with the situation told Saharareporters.
A video of the incident quickly circulated online, drawing comments from some Nigerians on the behavior of political actors as an example of exertion of privilege and disregard for public inconvenience.
