Burna Boy has said that his strength and survival through life’s hardest moments inspired his upcoming album, No Sign of Weakness.

Grammy-winning Nigerian artist Damini Ogulu, widely known as Burna Boy, on the threshold of releasing his forthcoming album, No Sign of Weakness, has said that his success in the music industry could be attributed to his personal strength and determination.

He shared that over the years, he faced many tough moments that could have pushed him to give up on life, but he chose not to. According to him, it is this inner strength that has kept him going and allowed him to stay consistent in his career.

Speaking via NSTV about the meaning behind his upcoming album No Sign of Weakness, Burna Boy explained that the project is inspired by the emotional and mental battles he has endured. He said the album reflects how he has continued to stand tall despite everything he has gone through.

“I have had the most reasons to not exist anymore, but I have shown no sign of weakness,” he said. “That’s what this album is saying; through everything, no sign of weakness will be shown. That is what I want everyone coming after me to do, show no sign of weakness.”

The artist hopes that those who listen to him—and future generations—can find encouragement in his story and learn to keep going, even during difficult times.

No Sign of Weakness will be Burna Boy’s eighth studio album. It is set to be released on July 11, 2025, through Atlantic Records, Spaceship, and Bad Habit.
