Benue Killings Lege VeryDarkMan

Lege Miamii reacted to the Benue killings, addressing VeryDarkMan’s video and assuring that President Tinubu would take action.

Nollywood actor and well-known supporter of the Tinubu administration, Lege Miamii, has finally spoken out following VeryDarkMan’s widely circulated video documenting the tragic killings in Benue State.

In the aftermath of the violence, which reportedly claimed around 200 lives, many Nigerians, including celebrities, have expressed outrage. But Lege took a different path — one that sparked both support and criticism.

Instead of releasing an emotional outburst online like some expected, Lege posted a calm, calculated video on Instagram. He said he was disturbed by the images of burnt children and grieving families, but insisted that his approach was more discreet.

“I’m here to talk about the Benue killings,” Lege said. “I saw the post last night, I was like ‘what is this?’ I was touched. I saw small children… and some people want me to come and be ranting online? No, I won’t do that.”

According to Lege, he picked up his phone and contacted people in government. “I have to call the people I know that can do the needful — which I did, and they listened.”

He also addressed VeryDarkMan directly, with a note of sarcasm. “Some people went to Benue to make a video to show people what is happening. We thank you very much. All Nigerian youths thank you.”

Lege went on to say that President Tinubu will likely visit Benue soon. “I know Mr President — hopefully on Wednesday — will visit Benue. I’m 100% sure they’ll do the needful and take more action,” he promised.

His tone was calm, but his message sparked outrage online. While some praised his diplomatic approach, others slammed him for downplaying the situation and allegedly defending the government.

Online users accused him of being out of touch. One said, “So Lege is now special adviser to the president on security matters?” Another commented, “Dem say president go address us but na Lege dey address us oo.”

Lege remains firm in his stance — that his method, though quiet, is more effective. But with tensions rising and public grief still raw, many wonder: is silence truly strength, or is it complicity?
