Social Media Erupts As Controversial Pastor Replaces Nedu On Honest Bunch

Media personality and controversial online pastor, Daddy Freeze has officially joined The Honest Bunch podcast as co-host, replacing Nedu Wazobia and igniting strong reactions online.

Prominent Nigerian broadcaster and controversial figure, Ifedayo Olarinde, popularly known as Daddy Freeze, has been unveiled as the newest co-host of “The Honest Bunch” podcast.

This announcement comes in the wake of the departure of former co-host Chinedu Ani Emmanuel, aka Nedu Wazobia, following intense online criticism and an ongoing feud involving social media activist VeryDarkMan (VDM).

The podcast made the update public on Sunday, June 18, through its official Instagram handle, revealing a new poster featuring Daddy Freeze alongside the remaining hosts. The post read:
“The Honest Bunch podcast just got more unfiltered. Get ready for hotter takes, deeper convos, and unapologetic honesty. Say hello to our latest addition @daddyfreeze.”

Daddy Freeze also confirmed his addition by reposting the announcement to his page, captioning it with a clear signal of a new chapter: “A New Era Has Begun.”

Nedu’s exit was triggered by a storm of controversy after comedian Deeone appeared on “The Honest Bunch” and alleged that social critic VeryDarkMan is gay. This claim spiraled into a public feud between Nedu and VDM, during which the latter accused Nedu of exploiting the podcast platform to solicit sexual favors from female guests. VDM further threatened to expose a list of names Nedu had allegedly boasted about.

Amid escalating backlash and reputational damage, Nedu stepped down from his role on the podcast. The platform had come under scrutiny, with some critics questioning its ethical boundaries.

The news of Daddy Freeze’s inclusion has ignited widespread conversation online, with some supporters expressing hope for a new dynamic, while others remain skeptical.
