Bobrisky Benue

Bobrisky criticized Nigerian lawmakers for their silence over the deadly attacks in Benue State, contrasting it with the urgency shown during her or his prison controversy last year.

Nigerian internet personality and public figure, Bobrisky, has spoken out strongly against political leaders in the country, questioning their priorities in the wake of a devastating incident in Benue State that claimed the lives of nearly 200 people.

According to reports, the victims lost their lives in a violent attack allegedly carried out by armed individuals in the Yelwata area of Benue. The tragedy sparked outrage across various platforms, but Bobrisky took the opportunity to express frustration with the seeming lack of urgency from Nigeria’s legislative bodies.

Taking to his Instagram Stories, Bobrisky reflected on how swiftly lawmakers had reacted in the past when her or his own legal issues became public, contrasting it with their silence following the mass killing in Benue.

“Senator/house representative didn’t call urgent meeting over the killing happening in Benue.. but they can call urgent meeting when it comes to Bobrisky. Shame!!!! Shame!!!! Shame!!!” he wrote.

In another post, she or he added:
“What a shameful country.”

The crossdresser’s remarks have added to growing public criticism regarding the perceived indifference of political leaders towards pressing national tragedies, especially when compared to the energy they invest in issues that appear less critical.

As reactions continue to pour in, many Nigerians echo Bobrisky’s sentiments, calling for more accountability and compassion from those in positions of power.
