Police Give Update On Pastor Adefarasin’s Arrest Over Prohibited Item
By Gideon Ayeni

The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed that popular preacher and Senior Pastor of House on the Rock, Paul Adefarasin, has been released on bail after voluntarily appearing for questioning over a viral video showing him with what looked like a firearm.
The video, which has gone viral on social media, captured the moment Pastor Adefarasin held the object during a brush with a content provider along a Lagos road.
However, in a statement released by Lagos Police spokesperson CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, authorities clarified that the object in question was a stun gun, not a conventional firearm. A stun gun is a non-lethal self-defense device often used in riot control and personal protection.
Despite being non-lethal, stun guns are classified as prohibited under Nigerian law.
Pastor Adefarasin reportedly gave a cautionary statement to investigators and was released on bail as investigations continue.
