Prophet Abel Boma sparked outrage after he declared that God told him to defend Judy Austin and accused her critics of being hypocrites doing worse in secret.

A popular Nigerian clergyman, Prophet Abel Boma, has delivered a spiritual warning to those condemning actress Judy Austin over her marriage to actor Yul Edochie. In a video posted on social media, the prophet claimed that God revealed a message about the widespread hypocrisy surrounding Judy’s situation and urged people to focus on their own lives rather than judge others.

“The Lord is sending a strong message to Nigeria. He is saying to all of you judging a certain woman, Judy, as the second wife of Yul, the Lord is saying let her be,” the prophet declared.

He went further to challenge the morality of Judy’s critics, accusing them of worse behavior done in secret. “A lot of hypocrisy is happening around us. The Lord said face your own problems and let the woman have peace. I, the Lord, chooses who to bless and forgive. Your judgment against one person does not matter to me. That is what the Lord is saying,” he said.

“Some of you have done worse, you do not want people to judge you but look at how you judge her. Make your own marriage work and stop pock-nosing into other people’s relationships. Stop talking about people’s marriages when you are scattering other people’s own secretly, sleeping with married men. God said tell them do not judge anyone,” he added.

Despite the message, many social media users reacted strongly, especially supporters of May Edochie—Yul’s first wife. Some questioned the authenticity of the prophecy, while others felt the preacher had misplaced priorities.

@henryumeadi wrote, “Na wa sha, una don dey too belittle God well well. So God get time for this? In the midst of all the sufferings and killings? Na Yul matter? All the millions of pastors and prophets in this world God must be busy every second talking to all of you.”

@adao_raofficial commented, “The Lord is saying? Pastor be healed abeg.”

@hog_wigs added, “Which Lord told you this? The Lord don suffer for una hand.”

@omosunday4life asked, “Please sir can I ask you a question? So God supports two wives?”

@michealslynda wrote, “This is not prophesy, you just decided to lend your voice on her behalf.”

@queenmaynation reacted, “Normalize telling people your personal opinion instead of lying on God. God gives no hoot about those adulterous duo.”

Some users, however, expressed support. @alade838 said, “Daddy, God bless you sir,” while @mrsa210 simply stated, “Now let me unfollow you.”

The message has stirred public debate, adding new momentum to the ongoing controversy surrounding Judy Austin and the Edochie family saga
