Why Kaduna Youths Vandalized Tinubu’s, Uba Sani’s Billboards After Presidential Visit (Video)
By Gideon Ayeni

Moments after President Bola Ahmed Tinubu concluded his official visit to Kaduna State on Thursday, a group of angry youths were caught on camera vandalizing large billboards featuring the president and Governor Uba Sani.
The viral footage, which surfaced online shortly after president’s departure, showed a group of young men in broad daylight ripping down billboards erected to welcome Tinubu to Kaduna state.
The defaced billboards bore prominent images of President Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani which had been strategically placed in key locations as part of the state’s elaborate display for the visit.
One of the clips, captioned “President Tinubu hasn’t even left Kaduna and the youth are already destroying every billboards with his and Uba Sani’s faces on it,” captured the intensity of the moment. The young men were seen furiously tearing the posters from their mounts and discarding them onto the roadside.
Eyewitnesses described the scene as tense and chaotic, with passersby watching in shock as the youths dismantled the political banners with precision and speed. Multiple billboards were reportedly targeted across parts of Kaduna, with no intervention from security forces at the time of filming.

The act, widely interpreted as a symbolic rejection of both federal and state leadership, comes amid mounting frustration over insecurity, hardship, and perceived neglect in the northern region. Social media users have reacted sharply, with many citing the incident as evidence of growing political fatigue and disillusionment among the youth.
As of press time, neither the Kaduna State Government nor the presidency has issued an official statement regarding the vandalism.
