Verydarkman’s brother urged Nigerians to keep the activist in their prayers after two days of silence on social media sparked concern.

Verydarkman, a popular online activist, has sparked growing concern among fans and followers after his brother came online to request prayers on his behalf.

In a heartfelt message shared early Sunday morning, the activist’s brother urged Nigerians, especially those heading to church, to remember his brother in their prayers.

He said, “Good morning everybody I am not here to say much but I want you all to pray for Verydarkman. It’s not easy. He hasn’t posted for two days. I know you all are asking question ‘where is VDM?’ The truth is… today is Sunday, as you go to church remember to put VDM in your prayers for good.”

Though he didn’t reveal what exactly was wrong, the call for prayer left many worried. His brother’s vague message triggered mixed reactions across social media, with people sharing both support and skepticism.

One user, @_SammyNas, reacted with alarm, writing, “The truth is what?, ehhh God abeg oh, make nothing happen to him.” Another, @akinwale_cfi, added, “I was refreshing his page last night before going to bed and I didn’t see a new post from him… May God keep him 🙏🏿.”

However, not everyone was convinced by the secrecy. @lordofdx commented, “He made it look like he wanted to talk about his whereabouts but ended up saying nothing.” And @storji expressed a more critical view, saying, “If he is not telling us where he is or what happened to him, then there’s no need to do any useless prayer. The mistake we will do is to trust VDM complete without using our heads. He is a good person, but we must constantly use our head on some issues. I won’t say more than this.”
