PDP BoT Meeting

Following security blocking the PDP Secretariat, the BoT meeting was moved to Yar’Adua Centre in Abuja’s Central Business District.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has announced that the location for its Board of Trustees (BoT) meeting has been changed.

On Monday, there was a tense situation at the PDP National Secretariat in Abuja. Security officers stopped members of the party’s BoT from holding their planned meeting.

The meeting was supposed to take place in the NEC Hall at the PDP headquarters in Wuse Zone 5, but heavy security blocked the area.

Uniformed officers closed off the building and asked people inside to leave.

A senior officer was heard giving strict orders to his men, saying no gathering should happen inside the building.

In a brief statement on social media, the party said the meeting, originally set for 10 a.m. at the National Secretariat, would now hold at the Yar’Adua Centre in the Central Business District of Abuja.

The statement said, “Special Announcement! Change of Venue for the PDP Board of Trustees (BoT) Meeting. The Meeting of the Board of Trustees (BoT) Meeting of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), @OfficialPDPNig, earlier scheduled to be held by 10 Am at the Party’s National Secretariat in Abuja has been moved to Yar’Adua Centre, Central Business District, Abuja.

“All BOT members are by this notice advised to proceed to the new venue.”
