Osimhen Named In Napoli Squad Amid Exit Rumours
By Benjamin Abioye

Despite strong transfer links, Osimhen is expected to rejoin Napoli for pre-season in July unless a deal is finalized in the coming weeks.
Amid growing uncertainty over his future, Victor Osimhen has been included in Napoli’s pre-season squad, despite strong reports suggesting he could leave the club this summer.
The Nigerian striker, who recently had an impressive season with Napoli two years ago, is expected to return as the team begins summer training in mid-July.
Medical tests for players will take place from July 14 to 15 in Naples. Afterwards, the squad will travel to Dimaro for training from July 17 to 27, before continuing preparations in Castel di Sangro from July 30 to August 14.
Although Osimhen appears in the squad list, his future at the club is still in doubt. He reportedly turned down a €40 million per year offer from Saudi side Al Hilal, but a transfer could still happen.
If no deal is finalized by mid-July, Osimhen will be expected to join his teammates. Napoli is set to send him a formal notice to remind him of this requirement. It remains unclear whether he would train fully with the squad or follow a separate program while talks continue.
Osimhen’s contract with Napoli runs until June 2026, with an option to extend to 2027. His €75 million release clause does not apply to Italian clubs, meaning domestic rivals like Juventus would have to pay more to sign him.
In England, interest remains high. Manchester United is reportedly leading the race, while Chelsea has previously held discussions. Arsenal has yet to make a formal move, and Liverpool were earlier linked with a player-plus-cash offer.
For now, Osimhen’s next move is still unknown — but if no transfer happens soon, fans may see him in a Napoli shirt again this July.
