Gospel singer Tabitha Feranmi has come forward with serious allegations against her child’s father, Akinola Michael, whom she claims has been sending her disturbing voice notes and threatening messages.

In a series of emotional posts, Tabitha revealed how what began as a failed relationship has now turned into a source of fear and distress for her and her child.

Tabitha explained that her relationship with Akinola started years ago but took a dark turn after he allegedly abandoned her following her pregnancy. “He said he can’t marry me because my mouth is not straight,” Tabitha recalled. Despite his refusal to take responsibility, she said his family continued to stay in touch, showing concern for the child’s well-being.

In December 2024, after persistent pleas from Akinola’s mother, Tabitha said she reconciled with him. “I ended a new relationship I was in because his mother begged me. I thought he had changed,” she said. However, she claimed she later discovered that Akinola only returned after realizing she was gaining fame as a gospel artist. “He didn’t come back because of love or our child. He came back because he saw I was becoming famous and wanted to benefit from it,” she stated.

The situation escalated after Tabitha appeared on a podcast, sharing details about her personal journey. In response, Akinola accused her of defamation, claiming that she had tarnished his image and that of his family. In screenshots and voice recordings shared by Tabitha, Akinola was heard hurling insults and even making threatening statements. “He slammed me and my father in WhatsApp messages and even threatened to end it all,” she revealed.

Tabitha confirmed that her father has since reported the matter to the police, but she is urging the public to stay alert. “If anything happens to me or my child, hold him responsible,” she warned.

The story has sparked widespread reactions from Nigerians on social media, many of whom are showing strong support for the singer.

One user, @omotoyosi_ojudu, commented, “Sis, may God see you through. Podcast hosts are not always your friends; they care more about views than your safety.”

Another, @oluwafunkeolasuyi, wrote, “So now that she’s getting recognition, they want to pull her down? God will fight for you, sis.”

User @andropod_official added simply, “It’s obvious he is jealous.”

“Tosin_amojo” wrote, “This is deeper than it looks. The Lord will protect you. They’re only scared of what you’ll become. You’re already marked for greatness.”

Despite the ongoing challenges in her personal life, Tabitha continues to shine in her music career. Recently, she was invited to perform at footballer Odion Ighalo’s birthday celebration, where she moved guests with her worship songs.

As the investigation unfolds, the gospel community and her growing fanbase are standing behind her, hoping for justice and safety.
