Premier League Matchday 9 Fixtures

Former Newcastle striker Alan Shearer has shared his thoughts on the big Premier League matches coming up this weekend, including Liverpool vs Everton, Manchester United vs Chelsea, and Arsenal vs Manchester City.

The weekend kicks off on Saturday with the Merseyside derby at Anfield, where Liverpool host Everton in the early match. Later in the evening, Manchester United face Chelsea at Old Trafford, while Sunday’s highlight is Arsenal welcoming Manchester City to the Emirates.

Looking ahead to the games, Shearer gave his predictions. On Liverpool’s clash with Everton, he said:
“Liverpool v Everton. Tough one to call but Liverpool at Anfield, won four from four in the league without playing well and Isak made his debut on Wednesday in the Champions League, so I’ll go for a home win. Prediction: Liverpool win.”

For Manchester United against Chelsea, the former England captain expects a balanced contest. He said:
“Man Utd vs Chelsea: Chelsea playing a tough game in the Champions League could help them, so I’ll go for a draw. Prediction: Draw.”

On the Arsenal vs Manchester City clash, Shearer also leaned towards a stalemate. He explained:
“Arsenal vs Man City: Arsenal were impressive last weekend and had a great win in the Champions League. These games are always incredibly tight, so I’ll go for a draw. Prediction: Draw.”
