Outrage As Video Of Phyna Partying Weeks After Sister’s Burial Emerges (Video)

Reality TV star, Phyna, has stirred a wave of reactions online after a video of her partying at a nightclub surfaced on Nigerian news and social media, just weeks after the burial of her younger sister, Ruth Otabor.

Ruth, who recently graduated from Auchi Polytechnic, tragically lost her life in August after being involved in an accident with a Dangote truck in Edo State. She was laid to rest on September 13, 2025.

In the viral clip shared on X by user @chukserice, Phyna was seen dancing and having fun alongside actress Regina Daniels and a few others during a night out. The video, which quickly made rounds online, left many netizens divided.

While some social media users criticized Phyna for appearing “too carefree” so soon after her sister’s death, others came to her defense, arguing that grief has no manual and everyone handles loss in their own way.

It would be recalled that Phyna had earlier accused the Dangote Group of negligence and lack of empathy in the way they handled her sister’s case, both during treatment and after her death. She also alleged that the company deceived her family and failed to provide the compensation they were promised.

Although her recent outing has gone viral across social media platforms, some believe the former BBNaija winner may simply be trying to find normalcy amid her pain.
