Despite Hard Times, Corps Member Who Called Tinubu ‘Terrible President’ Buys First Car

Viral NYSC corps member, Raye, has set the social media on frenzy again, after announcing the acquisition of her first car.

Raye, who gained fame earlier this year for her outspoken comments about President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, took to Instagram to share the exciting news of her latest achievement.

In a post filled with gratitude and joy, she revealed that she bought the car last month, describing the moment as one of her biggest blessings yet.

“I prayed for my first, not my last, and God answered. 🙏🏽 Last month, I got my very first car, and I’m still over the moon! 💃🏽 I am forever grateful for God’s blessings and grace every day. 🥰,” she wrote.

The post has since gone viral, with many applauding her hard work, consistency, and positive outlook despite facing challenges during her service year.

It would be recalled that Raye recently claimed she was denied her NYSC discharge certificate, alleging it was because of her previous criticisms of the government. However, the NYSC later clarified that her certificate was withheld due to her failure to attend a mandatory biometrics clearance in April.

Raye also made headlines a few weeks ago after she vowed never to support any NGO for single mothers again, following a viral incident in which one of the beneficiaries she helped celebrated becoming pregnant for another man.

Despite the controversies, many Nigerians online have described her new car as “a well-deserved reward” for her resilience and determination.
