Adesua Etomi-Wellington Shares Near-Death Health Scare In UK

Nollywood actress Adesua Etomi-Wellington has revealed a terrifying health scare she faced in June while on a ministry trip to the United Kingdom with her husband, Banky W, and their two sons.
In a heartfelt Instagram post, the actress explained that the incident led to an unplanned surgery, though she noted that the surgery itself was not as frightening as the events that led up to it. She said the ordeal occurred during their stay in London and Manchester for two speaking engagements.
Adesua reflected on how narrowly she escaped death, noting that even one small change that day could have had fatal consequences. She expressed profound gratitude to God for guiding her through the experience.
She wrote: “Long read, but please stay with me. I could have lost my life in June of this year. I went through a horrific incident that landed me in unplanned surgery. The surgery was ironically the least dramatic part of what I went through. I was in the UK with my husband and sons (sons? I have two sons). We were there to serve God. We had two speaking engagements. One in London and the other in Manchester.
“If even one single detail of that day were different, I wouldn’t be here today. I shudder when I think about it… I have become even more aware of the goodness and presence of God. Like a map, I can literally look back over that day and trace how His hands were all over that situation. There is nothing anyone can tell me, God is real!
“Let’s be softer, kinder, gentler, forgiving, patient, loving, and peaceful. I will never take another day for granted. Neither should you.”
Adesua, who rose to fame through her role in The Wedding Party, married singer and actor Banky W in 2017. The couple are parents to two sons, Zaiah and Zekiah.
