Staff Hail B Lord As ‘First Man To Defeat VeryDarkMan’ (Video)
By Benjamin Abioye
Controversial entrepreneur B Lord has declared himself the winner in his long-running feud with social media critic VeryDarkMan, describing the outcome as a victory that left him “unscratched” and “richer in experience.”
In a new video that has gone viral, B Lord was seen arriving at his office to a loud reception from his staff, who sang, hailed, and danced around him in celebration. The team could be heard shouting, “The very first man to defeat VeryDarkMan!” as they welcomed him inside. Responding with a smile, B Lord said, “I asked VDM to drop his noodles but he refused, I’ve dropped my pen. I came out unscratched. I lost nothing, but I gained something.”
The public reaction has been intense, with social media flooded by mixed opinions. While some hailed him for his confidence, others accused him of turning a serious issue into a circus. @AmosSoma37877 wrote, “The way Blord carried this whole saga like a season finale is wild. Man turned an internet drag into a full-blown victory parade with VIP treatment. He didn’t just end the fight, he branded it.”
For @Emmanueleko383, the display reflected a larger societal problem: “I watched this video with utmost disgust because it shows you that corruption can never end in this country.” Similarly, @Abdulsalam5476 said, “What do you expect if the boss is a fool? Wise workers under him have no choice but to pretend to be fools and dance to his tune.”
Others took a lighter view. @Only1Justus joked, “Blord talking like he just came back from a heavyweight title fight,” while @eazitechh mocked, “Go into a fight, then declare yourself the winner and celebrate.” @Muizayo__ teased, “How dem go collect salary if dem no come out?”
Several users pointed to hypocrisy and self-interest. @damtosfashion said, “Anyone among them that shows support for VDM will collect sack letter,” and @PeytonDarasimi added, “Den no go tell you the truth na your money dem wan collect.” @D_Oluwashina noted, “U expect make dem support VDM b4 when salary week na just 1 week away.”
Meanwhile, @automatedKrazy commented humorously, “BLord has successfully been inducted into the Clownery Hall of fame,” while @GadTheScreamer offered a softer perspective: “The only thing I can get out of this video is an employer loved dearly by his staff. Nigerian employers can learn from it too.”
This latest moment of celebration comes after weeks of controversy between both men. VeryDarkMan had earlier accused B Lord of overpricing cars and selling refurbished iPhones—particularly alleging that iPhone XR units were being repackaged and sold as iPhone 17 models. B Lord dismissed those claims, saying his business was legitimate and that VDM’s accusations were driven by envy.
Their rivalry, however, didn’t start with the recent saga. The two have publicly clashed several times in the past—over lifestyle displays, alleged missing NGO funds, and questions about integrity in business. Each encounter has escalated into online showdowns, drawing massive engagement across Nigerian social media.
With this latest video, B Lord seems intent on projecting triumph, while VeryDarkMan’s supporters remain unconvinced. Whether this truly marks the end of their feud—or just another pause before the next chapter—remains to be seen.
