Super Falcons defender, Michelle Alozie, has warmed hearts after a video captured her gifting her football boots to a young fan in Abeokuta ahead of Nigeria’s second-leg clash against the Benin Republic.

The touching clip, which has been widely shared on social media, shows Alozie approaching the 9-year-old girl and her father before handing over her boots as a special gift. The delighted youngster could hardly contain her excitement as she held up the boots while posing for photos with her football idol.

Alozie’s gesture has since drawn praise from fans, who lauded her humility and connection with supporters, especially young girls who look up to her.

The moment came just days before the Super Falcons’ second-leg encounter against the Benin Republic Amazons in the final round of qualifiers for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).

Nigeria had earlier secured a comfortable 2–0 victory in the first leg at the Stade de Kégué in Lomé, Togo, on October 24, 2025, with goals from Chinwendu Ihezuo and Esther Okoronkwo. The result gave the Falcons a strong advantage heading into the return fixture at the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta on Tuesday, October 28.

With their two-goal cushion and home advantage, the Super Falcons are poised to book their place in the next stage of the WAFCON qualifiers but for many fans, Alozie’s simple act of kindness has already stolen the show.
