Lere Olayinka, media aide to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has clapped back at critics who slammed his boss for traveling to Dubai with his two sons.

The controversy began after photos of Wike and his sons, Jordan and Joaquin, surfaced online from the 2025 Asia Pacific Cities Summit and Mayor’s Forum in Dubai, where they appeared alongside members of the Nigerian delegation.

While some Nigerians saw nothing wrong with the Minister being accompanied by his family, others took to social media to criticize the move, describing it as “insensitive” and “an abuse of privilege.”

Reacting to the uproar, Olayinka took to his X (formerly Twitter) page to defend his principal with a sharp response aimed at critics.

He wrote, “When e reach your turn, carry your enemies travel. Hissssssssssh.”

The post has since gone viral, creating mixed reactions online. While some users applauded Olayinka’s bold defense of his boss, others accused him of mocking genuine public concern over accountability in government.
