Outrage As Nollywood Producer, Female Crew Member Fight On Set (Video)
By Benjamin Abioye
A heated altercation between an alleged Nollywood producer and a female crew member has stirred widespread outrage and debate across social media platforms. The incident, which reportedly occurred on a movie set, has drawn sharp reactions from Nigerians who condemned the act and demanded accountability from those involved.
A short clip of the confrontation later surfaced on X, showing the man and the woman in a physical fight as onlookers tried to separate them. In another part of the footage, the woman was seen standing alone with her clothes torn. The disturbing scene quickly ignited discussions about violence and professionalism within the film industry.
Liltr3p (@dhino_marc74357) reacted angrily, saying, “My wife go to work and comes back like this, say na one man beat am — heaven go receive that man that day.”
Hadiza French (@hadizafrench) added, “Who raised that man? No matter what, you don’t beat a woman. If you can’t handle it, call your female friend or sister.”
Jennybest (@ke28522jennybes) stated, “The guy needs to be arrested. No matter what, you don’t have to touch a woman.”
Some users, however, viewed the issue differently. Ayobello (@belloayodamope1) claimed, “You go know say nah she dey at fault, she wan play victim.”
Nightmare (@MarcioSoldardo) argued, “I know everybody will blame the guy, but the actual fault is from the girl. She started the whole thing and still carried a fan to hit him.”
Israel Effiong (@effi39903) supported that view, saying, “If that fan touched that man’s head, would he still be alive? That’s self-defense I’m seeing right there.”
Others expressed disgust at the man’s actions. Rarebreed (@Loadedbrodah) wrote, “That’s too much strength against a woman! Trying to choke her? Lost all my respect. Go fight a man like you!”
The Emjay’s (@mrsemjay) said, “What kind of a man fights a woman like that?”
Henry Rawlings (@rawlings_h4579) commented, “Only a foolish man fights a woman this way.”
Some netizens made sarcastic or dismissive remarks. BrockfromtheEast (@manlikebrock) exclaimed, “Blood of Jesus! This is crazy!”
Mighty (@OGmighty892120) accused the woman of playing to the camera, saying, “Funniest part, nah them dey always carry camera to do emotional blackmail.”
ChefD (@DonatusOdido) suggested, “All na movie,” but Lord Barns (@lord_barns) disagreed, saying, “Omo, this one no dey script oh.”
AmaZulu (@iam_AmaZulu) wrote humorously, “As online lawyer, I go advise my client make e sue am for attempted murder by trick.”
Dela (@d2xt2r) added, “What makes a man so small his best option is to stand over a female and win?”
While the identities of both parties remain unclear, calls have intensified for a formal investigation. Many Nigerians are urging Nollywood guilds to take stronger measures against unprofessional behavior and violence on movie sets.
